Privacy policy
What kikstart collects, why, and how you exercise your rights under POPIA.
What we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address and the business you sign up for.
- Your app's data. Whatever your store or team records in your own database. You are the responsible party for it; we are the operator.
- Usage. Server logs and error reports needed to run and secure the platform.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not read your app's data except to support you when you ask, or as the law requires.
Where it lives
In your own Postgres database and the platform's control-plane database, hosted on Neon, with the application on Vercel. Regions are chosen for South Africa.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you may access, correct and delete personal information we hold about you. Email privacy@kikstart.ai.
Changes
This policy is being finalised with counsel and will be updated before the paid plans open. The current version is dated 5 September 2026.
