Why kikstart exists, who it is for, and what we think happens next.
The thesis
AI has commoditised the storefront. Any of the code-generation tools will build a bespoke headless shop in an afternoon. That moves the contest off nice screens and onto the parts an afternoon does not produce: a backend, an admin, a mobile app and an upgrade path that all agree with each other.
kikstart is built for that contest. It composes applications, web and mobile, from reusable, maintained modules. A customer gets a pre-built solution for their kind of business, tailored to their needs, on a database only they can reach, and an assistant that runs it by chat.
Who it is for
Businesses that want more than a store: an app, a field team, bookings, several modules at once. In South Africa specifically, businesses paying in dollars for software that should be priced in rand.
What we are not
We are not a no-code tool; those do not produce software a business keeps. We are not an agency; an agency builds you one thing and moves on.
